Paul Ring is a successful executive in the music and entertainment industry. Over the past 26 years exclusively with Universal Music Group as President of Private Eye Records and CEO of Bungalo Records his responsibilities have included artist acquisition, budgeting, production, distribution, and marketing.
Ring began his initial success in the music industry as a recording engineer on the Grammy winning recording of “Boogie Oogie Oogie” with “Taste of Honey”. Ring continued great success as a recording engineer with Bobby Caldwell’s #1 record “What you won’t do for Love” and another #1 album for the now late Greg Almond’s comeback record ”I’m no angel”. With these and many other successful recordings Ring was all over the charts with top artists Smokey Robinson, Jazz Crusaders, Gladys Knight, Jimmy Cliff, X, and the Temptations.
As President of Universals Private Eye Records Ring acquired frontline recording artists “Cameo” The Gap Band” “Rick James” and “James Brown.
In April 2000 Ring inked his own deal for Bungalo Records, which has remained exclusively distributed by Universal Music for the past 21 years. Bungalos sustained success included a release with Patti Labelle that remained at #1 on the Billboard charts for 16 weeks and brought Universal it biggest selling inspirational album of the year.
Ring’s community involvement exceeds the average, Ring was heavily involved with” The Points Of Lights Foundation” (POL) in bringing relief to victims of Hurricane Katrina via a star studded release with Rodney Jerkins. Ring teamed up with the Jacksons to release a single where the entire worldwide proceeds were donated to the Los Angeles Aids Foundation.
In 2015 while still overseeing Bungalo Records Ring was named Global Live Events US Chief executive to secure all talent for the Michael Jackson tribute concert in Cardiff Whales alongside Michaels Mother Catherine Jackson. This concert featured Beyonce, Smokey Robinson, Christine Aguileria, Jaimie Foxx and many other Global celebrities.
Ring is currently creating new platforms for music to be integrated with large health and wellness platforms such as Stay Healthy allowing celebrities of all walks to engage with their fans as never before by joining health challenges and other national and global heath related missions.
In 2019 in addition to his role with Bungalo Records Ring was brought in to serve as President of Business Operations for a new social media platform built on Blockchain Technology called APPICS where he will be responsible for providing strategic leadership in implementing the companies short and long- range goals, strategies and policies. www.Appics.com
In 2021 Ring was named Chief of Staff for AMJ Global a company committed to help the underserved people across the world.
